walking streets - main street, westhampton, ny.
one of my favorite places on earth is the hamptons. they all have such different and delightful personalities. lauren made it to westhampton before heading back to the left coast.
she's picked some great spots to check out if you find yourself out that way. don't skip the lobster roll, yum!

i couldn't return home to new york this summer without taking a quick trip out east to one of the best spots on long island -- main street, westhampton. in many respects, the laid back and relaxed - yet glamorous - vibe that westhampton gives off reminds me a lot of malibu. whether it's for the day or the weekend, a trip to the beach is just what the doctor ordered.
i'll start my morning with a coffee and a pastry from the ever-busy beach bakery (and trust me it is well worth the wait) before heading to my all-time favorite clothing boutique, blue 1, where owners crystal and jarret carry such an incredible collection of east-coast-meets-west-coast attire it makes me feel right at home! main street is lined with amazing boutiques; it is hard not to stop at all of them. i recommend popping into mint, chic, farenheit 451, and gloria jewel. for lunch, i'll stop at the post stop cafe for a quick bite to eat (the turkey burger with cranberries is delicious). after lunch, i'll do some more browsing and find myself getting lost in katherine tess beach boutique -- a cool combination of foreign designers and unique accessories. before i know it, i'm at the end of the street where a hidden treasure, good westhampton sits. it has become a new favorite stop and featires an eclectic mix of just about everything from candles to candy and anything in between; this "modern general store" is just that. before heading home, i'll take a drive down dune road to grab a lobster roll at john scott's just in time for a beautiful sunset. if it's a monday night, you can't miss star blogg's lobster bake for the freshest seafood you could possible imagine. the thought of it alone makes my mouth water....until next summer!
