kai conversations with tv personality and entrepreneur, becca kufrin

this week’s kai conversation takes you into the world of tv personality and entrepreneur, becca kufrin. known for her time on the bachelor and the bachelorette, becca’s story goes beyond the screen. raised in benson, minnesota, becca’s life has been shaped by family and resilience. the loss of her father and her mother’s battle with breast cancer instilled in her a deep sense of gratitude and strength.

since stepping away from the spotlight, becca has focused on building a life grounded in love and purpose. in 2021, she launched her wine label, bourdon, a tribute to her late father’s love for beekeeping. she is hands-on in every aspect, from branding to collaborating with winemakers, blending her passion for family and creating memorable experiences. in 2023, she married thomas jacobs, and they welcomed their first child, benny, later that year.

a loyal kai devotee, becca discovered the signature perfume oil on a trip to maui with her sister when she was 18, and it continues to remind her of that cherished time. she also adores the rose body glow for keeping her skin hydrated and glowing in the california sun.

enjoy this glimpse into becca’s world, where family, love, and personal passions take center stage.

how did you first discover kai?

i first discovered kai while my sister and i were shopping in maui back when i was 18 (not to age myself but this was well over a decade ago :) she’s always had great taste and fell in love with the scent, so she ended up buying a bottle, which i, per my sisterly duties, would sprayed on myself every time she was out of the house. to this day, every time i smell kai’s signature scent, it reminds me of her and that fun hawaiian trip.

what’s your favorite kai product and why?

nothing beats the signature kai perfume. to me, it’s timeless. but i also have been loving the rose body glow oil - it’s the perfect, light & floral scent that isn’t too overpowering that keeps me skin extra hydrated in the southern california heat.

go-to lipstick color?

laneige glowy gloss in berry. i always keep in my bag for a pretty swipe of subtle pink.

ultimate getaway?

my favorite getaway spot is to a small town in california called ojai. it’s just north of la in a valley, and every time i am there i feel like i belong. like i lived there in a past life. it is such a peaceful town nestled in the hills, where orange trees line the roads, olive groves are tucked up away from the town, but the main street offers some of the best, one-of-a-kind restaurants that can’t be beat. my husband and i love going once or twice a year when we want to relax and reconnect. it really is magical.

what book are you reading currently?

i’m always reading two or three books at a time, and my mood in the evenings usually dictates which one i wind down to. currently i’m bouncing between circe by madeline miller, the golden couple by greer hendricks, and false witness by karin slaughter. this last one is not for the faint of heart!

what’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done?

went on a reality tv show (technically three but who’s counting) to find love. and it worked!
